To submit an assignment to SafeAssign in the Blackboard, perform the following:
- Navigate to the assignment and click Start Attempt or Continue Attempt
- Click Upload from Computer or Upload from OneDrive
- Browse to the file location and select the file
- Click Open
- Click Submit to turn in the assignment
Notes:
- Only click Submit after the work is completely finalized. SafeAssign will automatically check the document, which could take up to 3 hours and longer processing time can be expected on Sundays and Mondays; however, usually it only takes a few minutes. The website may need to be refreshed.
- If the instructor has not selected the option to Allow students to view the SafeAssign Originality Report for their attempts the student will not be able to view the Originality Report after submitting the assignment.
- If a Learning Team identifies a plagiarism issue with a group assignment submission:
- They can reach out to the instructor to remove the attempt so the team can fix the issue and then re-submit.
- If a student identifies a plagiarism issue for single attempt assignment submission:
- The student will be able to resubmit the attempt as many times as needed and the instructor will use the last attempt when grading the assignment. If the assessment is set for one attempt the student will need to reach out to the instructor to remove the attempt so the student can fix the issue and then re-submit.
- SafeAssign will only check the following file types:
- DOC
- DOCX
- DOCM
- PPT
- PPTX
- ODT
- TXT
- RTF
- PDF
- HTML
