Cannot Get Online Due to Bad Weather or Loss of Internet

Question:
What steps should I follow if my Internet service is down for an extended period of time preventing access the Student and Faculty Portal or Blackboard (BB)?
Answer:
If unable to connect to the Internet, perform the following:
  1. Contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP) to assist with fixing the connection issue, or provide estimated time for the service to be reinstated
  2. Contact Student Technical Support to report the issue. Please provide the name of your ISP, location, and the connection type (E.g.: dial-up, DSL, cable, etc...). The issue will be documented, and Student Technical Support will provide you with a case number and the instructor's contact information if needed.
  3. Contact your instructor with the provided case number. If there is any further dispute, please contact your Academic Counselor.
