The Accessible Document Conversion is an online service that allows you to convert your document into an alternative, accessible format. The result is delivered in your email inbox. You may upload one or more files, enter a URL to a file or simply type in the text you wish to have converted. The form expands as you make your selections.

The types of files that can be uploaded are as follows:
  • File
  • URL
  • Text
The following file type(s) may be uploaded:
  • DOC, .DOCX, .PDF, .PPT, .PPTX, .TXT, .XML, .HTML, .HTM, .RTF, .EPUB, .MOBI, .TIFF, .TIF, .GIF, .JPG, .JPEG, .BMP, .PCX, .DCX, .J2K, .JP2, .JPX, .DJV and .ASC
Note: Multiple files of the same type may be selected and must be under 64 MB in size.

Files that are uploaded can be converted into the following formats:
  • MP3 Audio
    • This option allows users to select a language and speed for the output file.
  • Braille
    • This option allows users to select a language, contraction level and target format.
  • E-book
    • This option allows users to select between the EPUB, EPUB3 with media overlay and MOBI (Kindle) formats.
  • Accessibility option
    • ​Users can convert their files to one of the following format(s):
  • doc - Microsoft Word
  • docx - Microsoft Word
  • rtf - Rich Text Format
  • pdf - Tagged PDF
  • xls - Microsoft Excel
  • xlsx - Microsoft Excel
  • csv - Comma separated
  • txt - Windows Text
  • htm - HTML
