Below you will see some useful resources to help you prepare for and complete your class successfully.
Completing Signature Assignments
This course includes 3 signature assignments that require you to use the knowledge and skills you have learned in prior courses in addition to applying the knowledge and skills you are learning in this course. Your faculty member will use the rubric to grade your assignment. Read the assignment instructions and then review the grading rubric. The assignment instructions describe what you must do to complete the assignment. The rubric describes the performance levels. Ask your faculty member any questions you may have about the assignment instructions or the rubrics.
McGraw-Hill Connect®
You will complete your weekly activities and assignments outside of the Blackboard classroom in a platform called Connect. Faculty must set up Connect before you can access the platform. Review the McGraw-Hill Connect Student Guide for detailed information on:

Learn-Practice-Apply
College of Business courses follow the Learn-Practice-Apply model.
Learn: Assignments labeled as “Learn” are intended to provide information that helps facilitate learning. These are learning activities and not for credit in the gradebook.
Practice: The “Practice” assignments are intended to help you review and test your knowledge each week using a low-stakes assessment. These are worth fewer points and you may often receive credit simply for completing the assignment.
Apply: The “Apply” assignments are higher stakes, worth more points, and have been made to demonstrate understanding of the information from the week.
Note: In order to best prepare for success on “Apply” assignments, the “Practice” assignments are due earlier in the week.
Completing Activities and Assignments in McGraw-Hill Connect
Review the following the SmartBook Overview to prepare for completing your weekly activities and assignments in Connect. Each week you will complete readings and activities in the SmartBook adaptive quizzing platform within McGraw-Hill Connect. These will help you focus on what you need to learn and study. Chapter sections will be recommended to you based on your performance. You will receive points for completing the SmartBook adaptive quizzing. There is nothing to submit in Blackboard for Connect assignments. Your grades will be transferred to the Blackboard gradebook.
Note: Any work done in McGraw-Hill Connect will not count toward the weekly attendance requirement.
Due Dates and Attempts
Practice assignments are due Saturday. You will earn points for your highest score.
Apply assignments are due Monday.
Refer to Connect for the number of attempts allowed for each activity or assignment.
