What is Blackboard Collaborate?
Answer:
Blackboard Collaborate is a web conferencing software that is available to students and faculty in the Blackboard Ultra environment. Faculty can schedule Collaborate sessions for students to ask questions. Learning Teams in Blackboard can also utilize this feature to connect with team members.
Note: Collaborate is not a requirement nor does it count towards participation or attendance.
System Requirements:
  • Windows 7, 8, and 10
  • OSX 10.9 or later

Supported Browsers:
  • Google Chrome Version 79 (will not work with anything lower than 79)
  • Firefox
  • Microsoft Edge
  • Safari 

The optimal Collaborate experience for all users is with Google Chrome or Firefox browsers. Collaborate can also be used on a mobile device using the Blackboard and Blackboard Instructor mobile app.
