Document Translation

Question:
How do I request a translation of a document?
Answer:
The Office of Admissions and Evaluation (OAE) will translate Spanish and French educational credentials. OAE will provide in-house translations of student diplomas and academic records; some exceptions apply for course waivers and general education evaluations with proper documentation.
Copies of official academic records are acceptable. Official academic records are issued by the registrar, or an equivalent school official, on institution letterhead or transcript paper and provide student demographic information. Examples of unacceptable records include computer generated reports, letters or emails from Deans, instructors, or Department Chairpersons. An official academic record issued in English from a non-English speaking institution is acceptable; however, it is not a TOEFL exception per policy.

Work with a UOPX academic or enrollment representative to submit your document for translation.

Note: Effective April 5, 2016, UOPX no longer provides Russian translations.

Other commonly used translation services include Accredited Language Services, Berlitz Languages, Liaison, Josef Silney & Associates (JS&A), American Evaluation & Translation Service (AETS), and Education Evaluators International (EEI). Students are responsible to pay for any translation services not completed by OAE.
