How do I join the honor society for College of Security and Criminal Justice?

College of Criminal Justice and Security students at University of Phoenix have the opportunity to become a member of the Alpha Phi Sigma National Criminal Justice Honor Society through the Eta Theta Chapter. Alpha Phi Sigma is a nationally recognized honor society for students and graduates of esteemed criminal justice and security programs across the nation.

 

Purposes of Alpha Phi Sigma

  • Promoting academic excellence through the recognition of scholarship
  • Assisting in the development of professional and personal leadership among students and practitioners
  • Providing opportunities for service to the community and the profession

Membership Requirements:

 

BSCJA Student Requirements:

  • Completed 7 core/major courses of the BSCJA curriculum
  • Have a 3.6 or better GPA in the BSCJA program courses
  • Attended class during the calendar year of application, January 1 – December 31
  • Received official endorsement by Campus College Chair

BSOSM Student Requirements:

  • Completed 7 core/major courses of the BSOSM curriculum
  • Have a 3.6 GPA or better in the BSOSM program courses
  • Attended class during the calendar year of application, January 1 – December 31
  • Received official endorsement by Campus College Chair

MSAJS Student Requirements:

  • Completed 4 core courses in the MSAJS curriculum
  • GPA of 3.75 or better
  • Attended class during the calendar year of application (January 1 – December 31)
  • Received official validation by Campus College Chair
