Clear Cache in Amazon Kindle Fire Silk Browser

Question:
How do I clear the cookies and cache in the Silk Internet browser?
Answer:
To clear temporary Internet files, please perform one of the following:
5th Generation Models 
  1. Open the Silk web browser from the Home screen
  2. Press the Menu icon to the upper-left of the window
  3. Select Settings 
  4. Select Privacy 
  5. Press Clear Browsing Data 
  6. Check Cache 
  7. Check Cookies, Site data 
  8. Uncheck all other boxes
  9. Press Clear 
  10. Close the browser
Older Models 
  1. Tap Web from the Home screen
  2. Press the Menu icon to the bottom of the window
  3. Select Settings 
  4. Press Clear all cookie data 
  5. Press Clear cache 
  6. Press OK 
  7. Close the browser
Note: It is recommended to do this whenever the browser seems slow or sluggish.
