Attachments in Blackboard Discussions

Question:
Does Blackboard allow attachments within discussion messages?
Answer:
Yes, Blackboard now allows you to add attachments to discussion responses.

To attach an image, URL, or document to a discussion response, please perform the following:

Links and Online Images
  1. In the text editor box used to reply, click one of the following:
    • Chain Link icon - To insert or edit links
    • Image icon - To insert or edit images
  2. Enter URL for desired website or image in the URL or Image Source field
  3. Click OK
  4. Click Respond/Reply to post response
Documents and Images Saved to Computer

Note: Attachments can be added to a Group Assignment only if Conversations have been enabled for that assignment by the instructor.
  1. In the text editor box used to reply, click one of the following:
    • Chain Link icon - To insert or edit links and add documents
    • Image icon - To insert or edit images
  2. Select the Folder Icon
  3. Navigate to the location of the desired document or image
  4. Select desired document or image
  5. Click Open
  6. Click Respond/Reply to post response
