Clear Formatting in Microsoft Office Word

Question:
How do I clear formatting in Word?
Answer:
To get rid of all the styles, text effects, and font formatting in your document, perform the following:
  1. Select the text that you want to clear the formatting from. Or press CTRL+A to select everything in the document
  2. On the Home tab, in the Font group, click Clear All Formatting Clear Formatting .
NOTE: The Clear Formatting command will not remove highlighting from your text. To clear highlighting follow these steps:
  1. Select the highlighted text
  2. Click the arrow next to Text Highlight Color
  3. Click No Color
     
 Alternative Method 
  1. Select the text that you want to clear the formatting from. Or press CTRL+A to select everything in the document
  2. Make sure the Home tab is selected 
  3. In the Styles section, click the Styles dialog box button
