Error Installing OCP Exam Software on Windows 8
Symptom:
When downloading and installing the OCP Exam software, for PRG/421, the following error occurs:
The application could not be installed because the installer is damaged. Try contacting the application author and get a new one.
Cause:
This issue may be caused by antivirus or Internet security programs blocking access.
Resolution:
To resolve this issue, temporarily disable your antivirus or Internet security programs and try installing the software again.
Note: For more information on how to disable anti-virus programs in Windows, please visit the website of the software provider of your anti-virus program. Please remember to re-enable the protection software after installation is complete.
Also Note: It has been reported that changing the date on your computer to 10/29/2017 will allow for the installation, but please be aware that you will then need to switch back to the current date once the install has completed. Since this process is not supported through the University of Phoenix, we cannot verify that it works.
