Aligning Text in Microsoft Office Word

Question:
How do I align text in Word?
Answer:
Center Text Between Side Margins
To align your document, please perform the following:
  1. Highlight the desired content
  2. Click the Home tab
  3. Click one (1) of the following in the Paragraph group:
    • Align Left - Button image Align your content with the left margin
    • Center - Button image Center your content on the page
    • Align Right - Button image Align your content with the right margin
    • Justify - Button image Distribute your text evenly between the margins
      Note: Justifying the text may make the last line of text in a paragraph considerably shorter than other lines.
Center the text between the top and bottom margins
  1. Highlight the desired content
  2. On the Page Layout tab, select the Page Setup Dialog Box Launcher
     
  3. Click the Layout tab
  4. In the Vertical alignment box
  5. click Center
  6. In the Apply to box, click Selected text, and then click OK
