Why would I purchase Office 2013 software if I am receiving Office 365 ProPlus for free?

A purchased Office 2013 license from University Marketplace provides users with full ownership of the product and is valid for extended users within the same family. With the discounted Office 2013 offer, you will have traditional ownership of Microsoft Office 2013 on your computer even after enrollment with the University. The free Office 365 ProPlus program will be a subscription service assigned to a single users that is set to expire after being an active student or faculty at University of Phoenix. If you plan to purchase the discounted Office 2013 software you will need to do so while you are still active. You will be ineligible for the program after you have become inactive.
