Unable to Open Office Documents Due to Error
Symptom:
When I attempt to open any office document, the following error occurs:
Something went wrong we couldn't start your program. Please try starting it again
Cause:
This issue is caused by the installation of Microsoft Office 365 being corrupted.
Resolution:
To resolve the issue, preform the following: 
  • Uninstall Office 365 completely from the system and re-install it and remove the setup files per the following Microsoft KB
  • Once the uninstallation is complete, reboot the system and then try to open MS Office 365 again
Note: If you have a 64 bit operating system then download the Fix it tool save it on the system and then try to run the tool from the saved location.
