How do I keep the 1098-T form from opening in a blank window?

To resolve this issue, view the 1098-T form through Adobe Reader instead of the Internet web browser. To properly configure Adobe Reader, please perform one of the following:

Adobe Reader 9 and 10 

1. Close all browser windows
2. Open Adobe Reader
3. Click Edit
4. Click Preferences
5. Click Internet
6. Uncheck the box next to Display PDF in browser
7. Click OK
8. Close Adobe Reader
9. Open a browser window
10. Attempt to view the form again

Adobe Acrobat Reader DC 

Uncheck Display PDF in browser by following the instructions in the article below:

Note: Verify Adobe Reader is installed on the computer and/or the Adobe Reader plugin is enabled. If Adobe Reader is installed and the above steps do not correct your issue, please try an alternative browser. Additionally, if you are using Mozilla Firefox and experience complications opening the form, please follow the steps below to update your browser settings:

1. Open Mozilla Firefox
2. Click the Open Menu button to the upper-right of the browser 
3. Click Applications
4. Type PDF in the Search field
5. Click the drop-down menu to the right of Portable Document Format (PDF)
6. Select Use Adobe Acrobat Reader DC
