Enable Java Plug-in on an Apple Macintosh

Question:
How do I enable the Java plug-in while using an Apple Macintosh?
Answer:
Apple Safari version 12 no longer supports Java.

To enable the Java plug-in for Apple Safari version 11 and earlier, perform the following steps:
  1. Click on Apple icon on upper left of screen.
  2. Go to System Preferences
  3. Click on the Java icon to access the Java Control Panel (under Security)
  4. Check Enable Java content in browser
