Adjusting the Zoom level in Google Chrome

Question:
How do I adjust the zoom level of websites within Google Chrome?
Answer:
To adjust the zoom in Chrome, perform one of the following:
Temporarily Change Zoom Level
Using your mouse
  1. Click the Chrome menu on the browser toolbar
  1. Click minus or plus button next to Zoom to increase or decrease zoom level
Using your keyboard
  • Zoom In (Make larger): Hold CTRL and press the plus sign (+)
  • Zoom Out (Make smaller): Hold CTRL and press the minus sign (-)
  • Set zoom to default: Hold CTRL and press 0
Using Mouse and Keyboard
  • Hold down CTRL key
    • Zoom In (Make larger): Scroll up on the mouse wheel
    • Zoom Out (Make smaller): Scroll down on the mouse wheel
Note: This can also be done with a scroll enabled touch pad device.
Permanently Change Zoom Level
  1. Click the Chrome menu on the browser toolbar
  1. Click Settings
  1. Click Show advanced settings
  1. Click Page Zoom (XXX%) to change the level

 

  1. Once selected, close out of the tab and continue working
On a Macintosh perform the following:
  • Command Key and +/- will zoom in and out
