Citing an Internet Source

Question:
How do I cite pages from an Internet source?
Answer:
To cite pages from an Internet source, please use the paragraph number rather than the page number within your in-text citations. The Center for Writing Excellence (CWE) has a website that will assist you format in-text citations and reference entries, as well as provides a Reference and Citation Generator.

To locate these resources, please perform one of the following:

Reference and Citation Examples 
  1. Log in to https://ecampus.phoenix.edu
  2. Click the Library tab
  3. Click Center for Writing Excellence
  4. Click Visit Tutorials and Guides under Tutorials and Guides
  5. Click Reference and Citation Examples under APA Information
  6. Click Websites and Online Media
Reference and Citation Generator 
  1. Log in to https://ecampus.phoenix.edu
  2. Click the Library tab
  3. Click Center for Writing Excellence
  4. Click Visit Tutorials and Guides under Tutorials and Guides
  5. Click Reference and Citation Generator under APA Information
  6. Select one of the following:
    • Popular
    • Books
    • Periodicals
    • Websites
    • Course Materials
    • Miscellaneous
  7. Select the type of resource to cite
  8. Enter all required information
     Note: Click Example if you would like to view a sample entry and generation.
  9. Click Submit
