Clearing Cache and Cookies in Google Chrome

How do I clear the cache and cookies in Google Chrome?
Answer:
To clear cache and cookies, perform the following:

Note(s):

  • Following these procedures will clear cache and cookies for all sites visited, including phoenix.edu.
  • If you delete cookies and have sync turned on, Chrome keeps you signed into your Google Account. Your cookies will be removed from other devices and your Google Account. If you do not desire to clear on other devices it is recommended you sign out of Chrome, clear data and sign back in when done
  • It is not recommended to clear history or passwords but will delete it everywhere it's synced if you choose to clear
Google Chrome 63 and newer
  1. Click the Chrome menu on the browser toolbar.
  2. Hover over More Tools
  3. Select Clear browsing data
  4. Click the Advanced tab
  5. Select All time from Time range drop down
  6. Check the box next to Cached images and files 
  7. Check the box next to Cookies and other site data
  8. Click Clear Data
  9. Close and restart the browser
Google Chrome 60-62 for Microsoft Windows 
  1. Click the Chrome menu on the browser toolbar.
  2. Hover over More Tools 
  3. Select Clear browsing data 
  4. Select the beginning of time from Clear the following items from drop down
  5. Check the box next to Cached images and files  
  6. Check the box next to Cookies and other site and plugin-data 
  7. Click Clear browsing data 
  8. Close and restart the browser

 Google Chrome 38-59 for Microsoft Windows 
  1. Click the Chrome menu Chrome menuon the browser toolbar.
  2. Hover over More Tools 
  3. Select Clear browsing data 
  4. Select the beginning of time from Obliterate the following items from drop down
  5. Check the box next to Cookies and other site and plugin-data 
  6. Check the box next to Cached images and files 
  7. Click Clear browsing data 
  8. Close and restart the browser

 Google Chrome 33 -37 for Microsoft Windows 
  1. Click the Chrome menu Chrome menuon the browser toolbar
  2. Hover over More Tools 
  3. Select Clear browsing data 
  4. Select the beginning of time from Obliterate the following items from drop down
  5. Check the box next to Cookies and other site and plugin-data 
  6. Check the box next to Cached images and files 
  7. Click Clear browsing data 
  8. Close and restart the browser

 Google Chrome 22-32 for Microsoft Windows 
  1. Click the Chrome menu Chrome menuon the browser toolbar.
  2. Hover over Tools 
  3. Select Clear browsing data 
  4. Select the beginning of time from Obliterate the following items from drop down
  5. Check the box next to Empty the cache 
  6. Check the box next to Delete cookies and other site and plug-in data 
  7. Click Clear browsing data 
  8. Close and restart the browser

 Chrome Version 10 and Above for Apple Mac OS X 
  1. Click Chrome in the top left corner of the screen
  2. Select Clear Browsing Data 
  3. Select the beginning of time from Obliterate the following items from drop-down
  4. Check the box next to Empty the cache 
  5. Check the box next to Delete cookies and other site and plug-in data 
  6. Click Clear browsing data 
  7. Close and restart the browser
Note: You can also press Control + Shift + Delete to bring up the Clear Browsing Data window.
